Jesse is a teacher's assistant robot who answers questions about Diversity University MOO as a teaching and learning environment.
Jesse the English TA lives in the Prototype English Resource Center. To find Jesse, begin at the Student Union by typing @go Student Union. Once you are there, go south to the Student Union Foyer. Continue south to LSU Street (200 block). Then head east to the Intersection of LSU and Sandoz streets. From here, go south to Sandoz Street (300 block) and then turn east to the English Building Entrance Foyer. Jesse is southwest, in the Prototype English Resource Center. If you want to teleport directly to the room and save wear and tear on your virtual shoes, type @go #9893 to go directly to the Resource Center.
When talking to Jesse, you must "say" key words to trigger a reaction. To say something on the MOO, you can either type the word say or begin the line with ". To begin your conversation with Jesse, say hello to Jesse by typing either say Hi Jesse or "Hi Jesse, followed by the return key.
Jesse will respond with a list of topics. You may type say contents at any time to pull up the list of topics again. If you've explored part of a topic and want to return to the main menu, typing say content will allow you to choose another topic.
Jesse provides information under a number of categories. The following is a list of the different areas of Jesse's expertise and the various subheadings that fall under each category . The key words that must be "said" are in bold.
